We Will Not Stay Silent on Judiciary Amendments Imran Khan

Islamabad , Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, has issued a strong statement regarding recent judicial amendments, We Will Not Stay Silent on Judiciary Amendments Imran Khan warning that if authorities believe the opposition will remain passive, they are mistaken. Khan emphasized that PTI is preparing to launch a street movement in response.

Speaking to the media from Adiala Jail, Khan expressed his willingness to make sacrifices for freedom, stating, “Democracy is being undermined, and I am prepared to lay down my life. I refuse to accept any form of subjugation. They aim to completely enslave the nation.”

Khan questioned the legitimacy of removing people from Parliament without the Speaker’s consent, warning that today’s situation could easily affect others tomorrow.

Responding to a query about police actions during his tenure, Khan remarked that while he may not know specifics about Parliament lodges, no one was forcibly removed from Parliament during his time. He claimed that Shahbaz Sharif was on the verge of facing consequences for money laundering but was shielded by General Bajwa. Khan asserted that all cases against Sharif, Nawaz Sharif, and Ishaq Dar were old except for the money laundering case.

Regarding the drug case against Rana Sanaullah, Khan explained that the ANF, led by a Major General, had initiated the case. He noted that the ANF chief presented evidence of drug seizures from Sanaullah during a cabinet briefing, and emphasized that the case was handled by the ANF, not PTI.

Khan also discussed recent developments involving journalist Matiullah Jan and Qazi Faiz Isa, accusing authorities of attempting to suppress human rights and election integrity. He criticized the new constitutional amendments aimed at influencing judicial appointments, claiming that democracy has been compromised.

Highlighting current restrictions on media and threats to judges, Khan urged his party to prepare for a street movement, stating that the responsibility for any consequences lies with those enacting these changes. He asserted, “They want me to accept subjugation, but I refuse to do so.”

Khan also revealed that a new FIR has been filed against him and urged the public to review the Hamudur Rahman Commission report for more information.

Despite ongoing obstacles, Khan confirmed plans to hold a rally in Lahore on September 21, affirming, “It is our democratic and constitutional right to protest. We have faced barriers before, but people have always come out in defiance. If Punjab has become a police state, it will not deter us from exercising our rights.
