Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif recently addressed the ongoing tension in Punjab, highlighting the alarming statement made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. Asif pointed out that it has been 10 days since Gandapur issued a threat regarding an impending attack on Punjab.

A Challenge from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 

Khawaja Asif emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that only five days remain before Gandapur’s predicted timeline for action. He expressed his anticipation for the situation to unfold, stating, “Waiting for you.”

Demands for Imran Khan’s Release 

In a related context, Gandapur had earlier demanded the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), within 15 days. He warned that failure to comply would lead to further escalations.
